Floating Space, 150 x 360 cm, mixed media on canvas, 2006
The artist keeps silent and smiles. No discussion, no explanation. Like a metaphor the work speaks to each person in a different language. It speaks; it lives without moaning in dark colours, without smothering with monumental forms and movements. It provides delight and invites us to immerse ourselves in colour and form. And this invitation comes from Bangladesh, from China, from Berlin, from life and from travels in a form that permits us to presume that the soil was not only kissed in a way the pope does, but experienced in its smell and taste, in colour, form and consistency and with the soil a spectrum of life that is ingrained in it.
